FFA custom Games on Eurobattle.net

Hello everyone,

Thanks to the agreement of Cen, you have a new bot on Eurobattle.net hosting FFA games.

This bot is provided by our league FFA MASTERS LEAGUE. This is the only competitive FFA league existing, it exists since 2006.

The bot hosts on bnet, garena, Ombuserver and Eurobattle.net. There are around 80-90 games played a day.

Since today it is available on Eurobattle.net. However, there is one issue. The games exist but do not appear in the custom game listings.

The only way to make this games visible to you would be that the bot stays in a popular channel where FFA players are hanging.

Is there any clan or channel members playing regularly FFA here interested to join these FFA Games?

w3 players generally can be found on w3 channel or they join any private channel. THere is no dedicated ffa channel.

On Ombuserver we just agreed to dedicate a specific channel to ffa. Interested players hang out in this channel and are able to join games. They have a group of 15-20 players joining games now.

I can only suggest that any player here interested by FFA on Eurobattle.net just post here. We could dedicate a channel to FFA hosting games

I saw that you organized a ffa tournament in september with 16 players, that is very encouraging. We could join this group to the rest of the ffa community.

The bot stays in the channel "FFA" at the moment.

btw tell name of that bot because in channel ffa is nothing and i would like to try some ffa

It is my pleasure to give more information!

FMLHost :
FMLHost automatically hosts at least 2 games at the same time. These games are not scheduled. We have a group of 40 bot admins who can also start game themselves if they want.

The goal is to provide any FFA player with available games at any time of the day. FFA is a popular mode but suffers from several problems :
- long search times on bnet and on other pvpgn
- long search time gets the ladder inactive (this is the case on eurobattle.net like in bnet)
- hacking on bnet discourage players to look for games

The idea is to provide hack free environment with ffa players and give them an easy access to game. We started with bnet, then added Garena, then added Ombuserver with great success. Now I am trying to include Eurobattle.net in the project because it is one of the largest pvpgn. I noticed also that you created a ffa tournament in september, that made me think that there were some players which would be interested in playing.

This technical issue that eurobattle.net players do not see game in cg listings is greatly limiting their activity on the bot. So far only a couple managed to play. That's why I'm trying to advertise the bot here and I am very gratefull to your staff to have authorized the bot.

On Ombuserver they dedicated a channel where to meet with the bot so they can see the games. They have an active group of 20 players playing on it now. 2 of them have been given admin rights on the bot and can start a game as any other admin on bnet. There is no difference.

My hope is that we can find such a group on eurobattle.net and have one or two admin here too.

The league :
We have a ffa league and a ffa ladder played by FML players. This is a competitive league for the best ffa players. These games are hosted on another bot. If anyone on Eurobattle.net is interested in joining the league (and have the skill to do it! ), we could make this bot host also on your server then with your approval.

A t first I tried to put the bot in W3 but it is a restricted channel, the bot ends in "The Void", so this will not be a solution

Bot name is "FMLHost", add him to friend and you will see in which game it is. Actually if the bot is not in the "FFA" channel, it is because a game is about to start! I hope to see you there soon

Where is that bot hosted? I am from Europe and i had kinda lag, also there was proble with lagger obs.
Anyway gamme get filled in few seconds so there is interest from players side.
