how to open port 6112 wif a router?

ok.. im using a broadband connection.. streamyx to be exact. but im oso usin a router so tat the connection can support two computers. the thing is, i connect thru the router so im guessing it is my router tats blocking port 6112. if any1 can help and teach me wat to do, i will be more than grateful. im using a d link di-704p router. hope u techie guys out there can offer sum help.

On the router issue: When you're talking about a firewall (which blocks ports for you), the router will probably have a 'firewall' menu somewhere.

If you want to make sure that that's the thing that's causing the problem, totally disable the firewall and see if that works. If it does, you've found the problem. If not, there's something else going wrong :)
