Battle of the Races

There´s an interesting tourney going on with the best players of each race.
Here is the link to the results of the first week. No surprising
results for me.

there are some imbalanced match ups like Ne vs O (Ne>>>O) or O vs HU (O >> HU) but a good player can beat his opponent even if his race is underpowered

No NE don't own orc. Phoenix_Remind >>> orc :P The key is NE had the best lineup they could have get while orc was lacking zacard and UD was withoud reign and sweet. Btw omfg look at the game betwen Cherry-Farseer(a_headache) and YolinY.Sky, some really gosu moves and micro by sky but imbalance won -_-

yeah...but still NE > ORc bcz NE has units that are good against big armoured units Ha, it isn't true....NE has problem to hit high-armored units.....I think this is main problem when they fight against human. And that's why they have fearie-fire spell;)

i dont tihnk elves are having problems because of high armored units. which are those high armored units? priests? rifles? sorcs? dont tell me its knights:D LOL. their main problem vs human is timing difference. humans get their strongest amry on tier2. elves have weakest position on tier2. on tavern maps, u can cover that weakness with naga witch or some stupid slowing hero spell to destroy human micro, which would help u to do harass with 2 heroes and maybe 2 archers. thats why dryards are so noob units anyway.

btw, why human gosus go tier2 rush so rare if u compare it with average games? its because good elf wont make newbie mistake in timing. if u noticed, gosu elf can defend himself with 2 dryards and few archers + hero while teching to master bears vs massed rifles and casters army, but very successfull.

its something like u wont see gosu players going to establish exp after they lose battle. gosus establish exp very VERY rare after they lose battle. but u can see newbies going to exp after battle loss very often. cause they wanna get money to revert situation and get raped if enemy catches them. well... thats something like rushing orc in solo to kill burrow on the start... it wont work if orc is just a bit smart. but u can see some players trying to kill burrow anyway. and sometimes they even succeed in it. ;)

Ok. I know knights are not often seens in solo NE-hum games. But maybe footmans or SB has low armor, huh? And if knights come how elf can beat this army, without air?

just mass bears and dryards and watch on how human cant pull any unit back and loses game against cheaper and stronger army. simple. there's your answer. human tier3 vs elf is almost totally useless, if u compare it with what u are faced on elf tier3.
best what human has is tier2. thats the part where human is the strongest.

i think best for ne are catapults, mortars, etc...
if u have good back-up army, then 'gosu elf' can no longer defend himself with 2 dryads and few archers and hero

lol UD own NE easily? Which planet have you been living on the past months? Why do you think heros like the panda got nerfed in the first place? Maybe because it was so very hard for UD to fight him?

The result of the battle of the races sure depends on the players that played.
BUT! If a race wins 4-2 and 4-0 it shows SOMETHING about the race. It is VERY strong.
I think that you can´t win any big tourney at the moment when UD is your race. Mostly NE and Orc win the tourneys nowadays. And don´t tell me thats just because the other races don´t have good enough players.
Well, but everybody will always think their races is the weakest so...

play Elf vs UD make mass dryads and take panda+warden enter in battle and watch movie how u own the UD:rolleyes:
