I started noting after level 10 in 2vs2 RT that I often get 0 experience when I win a game. The win is counted, but experience remains the same - while it always goes down when I lose! I get 0 experience something like 3 games out of 4... is this normal?

LOL. Is this true? It would really be ridiculous.
The Match Making System for 2v2 should be changed for sure. There are NO matches were there isnt a _supernoob_ in it. So you never get a decent match with a good player vs 2 other good players...

That's very annoying :/
You always risk to lose experience, and rarely have the occasion to gain it when you get around level 13 in 2v2 pg.
