Pro Ladder Tournament

Hi, I'm glad to announce we will have the first Pro Ladder Tournament @ Eurobattle.net.

Only the top 16 solo players (by rankings) will be invited to this tournament, though, if one of them declines the invitation, the next player will be chosen instead (17th place) and so on.

You can still ladder until 10th September, 23.59h Server Time, and one second after that I will write down the top 25 players.
On 11th September, I will ask them if they want to play, and after having all confirmations, I will draw the groups.
The groups will be made in a system similar to euro2008 football cup:
There are 4 players in each Pot. They can't play between themselves until a late stage on the tour.

Pot1: Rank 1,2,3,4
Pot2: Rank 5,6,7,8
Pot3: Rank 9,10,11,12
Pot4: Rank 13,14,15,16

Ex:
GroupA: Rank1, Rank7, Rank 12, Rank13

The games played at the groupstage will all be bo1.
After the groupstage is finished, the 1st place from GroupA will match 2nd place from GroupC, and so on. These games will be bo3, until the 3rd/4th place and the final, which will be 2xbo3.
Each match will have a predefined map, then on bo3/5 games, the loser picks the map.

Group D Games: 18h ST - 14th September
Quarter-Final Games : 16 ST - 20th September
Semi-Final Games: 16h ST - 21th September
3rd/4th Place: 16h ST - 21 th September
Final Games: 21h ST - 21th September

The tour will be played on w3-tour channel, with Admin's help.

If you were invited, but, you can't play at the scheduled time, just tell us.

The Prize of this tournament is yet to confirmed(but it will be smth rly good :D). First three will get something.

Ok here are the finals... some people may find it confusing (cause it includes Upper and Lower Brackets, meaning you have to lose twice to be kicked from the tour, plus on the final, the upper bracket finalist has to win only 1 bo3, while the lower bracket finalist has to win 2 bo3 in order to be the champion), so I will post a sample showing how it works aswell.

Thats my opinion , but in case you really wanna make quality tournament between xpam's top16 ladder players.
In case you dont want it,i will gladly avoid this tournament in big desire not to spike myself into eye with 3k obs who will lag eachother every 15 secs cause they got imba connections or because they are living on the Moon ( BR, TR, Morocco...etc ) and imba xpam delay on other people hosts. For all kinds of those lagged games,we got few types of pg,so i think this tour should pay more attention to players than to loading screens etc.
But i say,that's only my opinion.

I agree with Dav about ggc,because players can't play 100% on delay.
About xpam ~you can't reach more than 80% of your total skill.
You can't even imagine how important is 1 sec of delay not to mention lag or something else,at least for players who count on their micro and skills.

i agree with Dav that would be catastrophic about 10 obs, i suggest only 2 players, 1 host and max 2 Observers = admins of tours(w/o host) that would be better than 41241 observers that want just want to look ingame or even cheating by using TeamSpeak/Skype/Ventrilo and other messanger software

With the newest w3 patch,you got delay reducer .. that will probably ease up the spikes and delay,and i'm sure everything will work out alright in the end,gaming conditions should be enough to satisfy you all ..
Fine,you wanna play on ggc,go play there with your friends,but it would be a shame for yourself and for others not to get ladder 1 rank player in this tour.

All the group games will be played on the upcoming weekend, while the finals will be played on the next weekend(20/09).
We can't play all the tour in this weekend, because there are just too many games.. the only chance of doing so would be playing like 4 games at the same time or smth similar.

my opinion for obs is that two players that will be playing should decide how many obs should be in game.
for example in game DaV vs Boc...if dav decide that two of his friends will be observing that boc can also call his two friends to obs....but if one player want to have less obs then the other player want,then decision of the one that want less obs will be done ...or if one of the players want to have no obs then other can not call anyone to obs

i think this system of obsing will work the best,rather then just saying ''no obs at all'' or ''max obs in game'',cuz the opinion of the one whos playing should be the one that matter.


and as it for hosts i think that admins should be the ones wholl provide then

Xpam player , is a player who played his games on xpam only , not on other,or original gateways,ggc,or any others. Since i've started with w3,3 years ago, I played 4k games on xpam , 500 at north ( many of them were 2v2 ), so i can say i am xpam player,which cant be said for some other players from xpam's last pro ladder tournament. Example? Hic,Drec. They both masses north solo like hell,ggc as well,they even played 2008 pro ladder at north. Obviously with not so much success so they came to heal their ego up on xpam by beating us,players,who are playing on 10 times lower skill server than original ones,and still struggling vs some of us. Pathetic. Anything else?

I dont cry, i get nervous, cause i hate losing not in W3, IN ANYTHING...For example basketball, i cant stand when i play 3v3 and 2 of them are total operations for ball, so i yell at them and get bored, cause i am losing...
