Bali or Thailand?

I have to choose to go to one of these places as part of my course and I really have no idea which is better. Perhaps you guys can give me some opinions?

I think none of us ever visited Thailand or Bali (or not). You could find some brochures about those places,
you can find it in travel agencies, you know, an offices where they sell tickets and stuff...
Or you could find on internet more about their offers and such...

if you're a pervert i'd recommend a trip to Thailand ofc, for like 5$ u can score ****load of ho's willing to fulfill your every perverted request :D...

if you wanna have a nice vacation i'd recommend Bali, i guess it's a lot safer, and a probably more peaceful...i haven't been to any of the 2 but i say this from things i've heard

I hear good things about both places but I'm not sure, some people say Bali (which really is Indonesia) isn't hygienic. Really not sure about both and I will tell you guys which one I decided later. BTW, the price of both are around the same $10,000 hk (around 800 euros I think).

showing off or not, i think this is only thread in Off-topic section(not counting sports) that isn't 99% of spam like Chat thread, or other crap ppl take up web space with...

and i think it is quite useful, actually i didn't bother to check where Bali is until now. i thought it was closer to India. too bad there aren't so many off-topic thread of this kind

OK guys, thanks again for the opinions but I have chosen Thailand.
I think Bali is a bit too exotic and I don't want to camp in a tent for 1 night or something. A few of my mates chose Thailand too so it should be good and I will upload some pics when returning. But of course, that will be in October. :)

Haha no it didn't get delayed and someone got me a Liverpool birthday cake too. Here are some pictures for now, not all of them are of me.

Overview:
The trip was brilliant; We mountain biked 10km, we kayaked 5km to a houseboat and stayed there (did some dives from 50m there), did white water rafting, helped some poor school build a canteen, caved/repelled/climbed, trekked up a 7km jungle, and more!
