Here's an idea of a tour that has come to my recent attention of how can people improve their play and have fun&excitement at the same time.
I'm talking about a "First Blood" Contest that will inspire many of you to bring up some new tactics and ways of scoring fb and in the same time raise caution and awareness of when you might be fb-ed and countless of ways to avoid them.
First of all, it will somehow benefit your position to your ladder status as it will add points to whenever you manage to do it and whenever you score. The points added will solely depend on how you deliver your finishing move.
To add up, whenever you score only 1 kill and it is you who scored the first blood, you shall receive +2 points only, but whenever you score a kill afterwards the points raise you another +2. So a double kill and a fb nets you +4 points + no matter if you lose or win afterwards. If you die in the process the points are reduced to +1 and +1 respectively. The ones who assist you i.e. get +1 assist in the fb-ing process get tiny amount of bonus to the points added to you so if you score +2 they get +1 and if you score +1 they get +0 or none.
This event also acts as an expansion to normal ss games (the -rd ones); they will be played with the players being signed in for the tournament, so the ones who didn't sign will not be subtle to this event.
Furthermore, the fb-ed person is also prone to losing points once we figure out how to subtract points from our ladder, so you'll have to be extra careful, but also courageous at the same time. :P
Feel free to state your opinion of what you think about this tour and what could be the possible pros and cons of such an event.
