Hello and welcome to our Host under Special Firewalls guide.

1) General overview
So you're trying to host a game and you already port forwarded your router (http://www.eurobattle.net/showthread.php?t=75925) and opened w3 ports in your windows firewall (http://www.eurobattle.net/showthread.php?t=70345), but you still can't host? This means another software is still blocking incoming connections to your PC. Security systems such as Nod32 and Kaspersky Internet Security might be blocking w3 ports. In this guide I shall show you how to open ports 6112 TCP and UDP in both security systems.

2) Configuration
ESET Smart Security 3.0.669.0
NOD32 BUSINESS EDITION
1) Run warcraft, when the game is loaded completely, minimize it.
2) Right click on the NOD32 icon(In the system tray)

3) ' Show network connections '
http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/6298/numb2fz2.jpg
4) When u do these steps, u will get a list of processes, where u can find war3.exe
5) right click on war3.exe proccess and click ' Allow communication for this proccess'

Note: you must do this every time you start warcraft in order to host.

Kaspersky Internet Security 2009
Kaspersky has its own powerful firewall. In order to host under Kaspersky, we must make w3l.exe a trusted application, and we must open the warcraft ports:

Making w3l.exe Trusted Application:
1) Enter Kaspershy main page, and click on Firewall under System Security
http://img396.imageshack.us/img396/4166/k1ef7.jpg
2) Enter Application Filtering Settings
http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/825/k2rn4.jpg
3) You will now see a list of trusted, low restricted, high restricted and untrusted applications. Click Add on the lower left corner. Browse for w3l.exe and add it to the trusted applications
Opening the ports:
1) Return back to the Settings page and choose Firewall Settings
http://img300.imageshack.us/img300/1474/k2bue8.jpg
2) You will find list of opened and block ports, Click Add
http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/3438/k4xc2.jpg
3)Enter the following configuration to open the ports
http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/2092/k5apm1.jpg
http://img397.imageshack.us/img397/7352/k5btf7.jpg
4)Click Ok, notice the new ports added with a tick next to them. This means the ports are now open.

Note: Some anti virus software don't block incoming connections(AVG, Avast...etc), in that case, you dont need to do anything.

Special Thanks to klemen (http://www.eurobattle.net/member.php?u=153393) for providing me with Comodo Firewall and BitDefender Total Security pictures.
