I opened new thread, to discuss about transfers in this summer period.

already many changes happened, and surely more to happen.

Alves Sevilla -> Barcelona
Deco Barcelona -> Chelsea
Bosingwa Porto -> Chelsea
Pique Manchester United -> Barcelona
Cacares Villareal -> Barcelona

thats the biggest I remember in past week

there is a full list of signed ins and outs and rumours of those on eurosports.com, but i'm too lazy to look it up.

so far, no big transfers, except ofc another summer spending spree by Mr. Roman himself. i've read somewhere that he has spent 750 million euros on Chelsea so far in the last 5 years he owns it.what a waste of money...

What about C. Ronaldo in Primera?

fatman69
6th July 2008, 07:13 PM
last i've heard he's staying in Manchester, now he's even injured. anyway if this **** continues i think he'll end up like Van Nistelrooy and Beckham, Ferguson is not a man to mess with, he doesn't take too much crap from his players. i've heard that he even through a running shoe at Nistelrooy just before he moved to Real, but not bcuz of the transfer but some argument of theirs. transfer followed shortly after :). so Ronaldo should make up his mind soon and stick with the decision. even if he leaves, there are other good players in Manchester to replace him.

he remain a topic of the biggest gossip like Arshavin who is one second in Barca, next sec in Chelsea and will probably stay in Zenit.

Roman gave 330M euros to spend this summer, main objective is Brazilian Kaka, but I am not sure about it.

Real is eager to spend 80 millions on *** Ronaldo.

Arshavin rumored in many great clubs, but hey he can earn a LOT money in any Russian club, their league is growing much powerful with those mass investments, and soon it will become top 5 in the world.

oh yea the *** couple from the pic you posted to show "team spirit" or what not...

i think it's for the best, Kewell didn't play practically anything, and Crouchie myb doesn't fit into Rafa's vision of Liverpool...

on topic: Lampard in Inter?

i think not, last i've heard Chelsea didn't allow Inter to negotiate with him and Scolari also persuaded Franky to stay. at least how i heard.

as far as L'pool goes, i think even Crouchie's leaving, his space in the team is getting smaller and plus he has started negotioations with Portsmouth.

@Keweli

ya really bloody shame that they will lose Riise, they will have to find some1 else to score own goals in CL semi's...

it is a ****ing money wash, he isn't worth 2M, not to mention its the price above Deco's.

yes but sulejmani can't approach Deco in any segment, and the fact is that with age comes experience.

ye i think manchester needs a player like Berbatov in their ranks. and he also deserves to play in such a great club.

@keweli i don't see Manchester bidding over any stars lately. the way i see it, they buy young talented players and shape them into stars over which rich clubs fight later. see Beckham's example, or Rooney, or C.Ronaldo...they becamo globally interesting after joining Manchester.

Last season they signed Nani, Tevez, Anderson, and Hargreaves. All for a pretty high price.

The only real star Liverpool signed is Torres, and now we have Robbie Keane!

fatman69
29th July 2008, 04:54 PM
they didn't sign Tevez, he was borrowed. and only Hargreaves had a reputation of those 3. others were slightly unknown, i mean c'mon they are like 20 yrs old each. they need some time to grow.

yea too bad Robbie joined Liverpool, dude could have accomplished something, now his chances are decreasing dramatically...

and Liverpool keeps investing funds very poorly, they rather get 1 star player and spend half their budget on him instead of buying several young talents..jeez

Wow and you are so proud of that

You guys are just spending big sums on young players and the only good one you guys have left who was trained is Ronaldo.

Nani, Tevez, Rooney, and Anderson were all purchased for high prices when they were in fact known. Anderson was big in Porto, Nani was big in Sporting, and I already heard so much about Tevez 2 years ago.

We buy players like Voronin on a free transfer, and the biggest signings we ever made were Ciise, Torres, and Keane these past 3 years.

fatman69
30th July 2008, 11:24 AM
well if you do good you deserve to spend big money, if you win CL and PL in one season you deserve to spend any sum you want on transfers. if you don't win any trophy and end up in 5th place you deserve to buy only a Irish striker in mature yrs (in other words, old in 3 years)... in 2-3 years Liverpool will have to do a serious re-build of squad since most of their star players are already 27-30 years old...

sunnis
6th August 2008, 01:43 AM
the story who signs player with higher price is stupid, and telling that manchester or liverpool doesn't sign star players is bull****.

even if they don't sign them, it is because they lack money for it, don't you think they would like Kaka in their squad, or Drogba? But Chelsea has the money, and signing Kaka soon will mean world dominance for 5 years at least.

Ronaldo is one big **** comparing to Kaka.

fatman69
6th August 2008, 02:34 PM
ye i guess you could say kaka is better. only thing is that he played in that ****ty Milan, and the player of such talent and such great team play doesn't reach his full potential there. but nevertheless, Chelsea spends probably the most money on players and coaches but it still can't have the thing that both Manchester United and Liverpool have and that's spirit and tradition.

@fatman i must agree with this,Tottenham has scored a goal with selling Robbie Keane,They brought Modric,Bentley, and some more players, and Arshavin might come too,cuz he doesn't wanna play for Zenit anymore...I expect a lot from them this season...

fatman69
11th August 2008, 05:17 PM
y but Arshavin might come, and time is running out, so the possible solutions are not to be taken for granted. you forgot to mention Giovani Dos Santos (or h/e is that spelled), but the question is how to replace such a striker like R.Keane, and if they sell Berbatov to Manchester, they might be in a nasty situation. although i do agree they look promising now, but i'd rather wait till transfer period is over to decide who has what chances and what kind of team.

Tito
11th August 2008, 06:31 PM
Even if totenham sell berbatov, they will gather money to buy Arshavin, Bent is not bad CF, they still got extra attacking midfield players in Lenon, Bentley, Giovani, if Arshavin join too, Ramos will have a big chose.

fatman69
15th August 2008, 04:42 PM
they got Bent and Bentley, Giovani is good in MF, but he's too weak phisically to replace Berbatov, Lenon as well, and Arshavin ain't comin' so it seems. a perfect CF has to be either a ZOMG LUCKER like Pipo Inzaghi who can get a ball at any moment and score just like that ( although i hate him) or smth like Berbatov, big guys, phisically strong with a nice shot and technique. any other compromise can be ok, but a good CF is really a necesity when playing vs teams with good defence.

no wonder Manchester and Barca are bidding over Berbatov..

actually it can easily turn into battle 2-8 MU, Arsenal sucked so far, and Liverpool Suck since 1992, and when you add Man. City, which can become Chelsea#2 very soon and always unpredictable Tottenham and Everton.

Chelsea showed best in first 3 games they deserved 9 points but fortune favored tottenham in last game, but surely after Deco's arrival Chelsea play the most beautiful football on the island.

Manchester City plan £135m bid for Cristiano Ronaldo

Manchester City's new billionaire owners are planning a world-record £135m bid for Cristiano Ronaldo in the January transfer window before turning their sights to, among others, Fernando Torres of Liverpool and Cesc Fábregas of Arsenal. "Ronaldo has said he wants to play for the biggest club in the world, so we will see in January if he is serious," said Dr Sulaiman Al-Fahim, of the Abu Dhabi United Group.

Al-Fahim also re-iterated that he would investigate the potential availability of the former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry, Valencia's David Villa and the former Brazil international Ronaldo to join Robinho in a "dream team" that would be able to challenge for the Champions League within two or three years.

However, he identified United's Ronaldo as the biggest challenge for the billionaire tycoons, backed by members of the United Arab Emirates royal family, who have taken control of the club from Thaksin Shinawatra. "Real Madrid were estimating his value at $160m (£90m) but for a player like that, to actually get him, will cost a lot more; I would think $240m (£135m). But why not? We are going to be the biggest club in the world, bigger than both Real Madrid and Manchester United."

In all probability, City's chances of persuading Ronaldo to forget about moving to Real Madrid and decide instead to swap Old Trafford for Eastlands - or 'Middle Eastlands', as some City fans have started referring to it - are, at best, miniscule. Yet City's remarkable signing of Robinho from Real Madrid, for a British record £32.5m, just before Sunday's transfer deadline has already sent shockwaves through the sport, and Al-Fahim insisted the club would be willing to pay United three times the world transfer record, set in 2001 when Zinedine Zidane moved from Juventus to Real Madrid. "We want a team who can win the Champions League," he added.

Al-Fahim also confirmed that Torres and Fábregas were among his targets as City look to bring in a "minimum 18" players. "We're not just going to spend money on anyone, but if we can get the biggest players in the world, and of course if the manager wants them, then we will get them," he said.

Robinho arrived in London on Tuesday for a brief meeting with Mark Hughes to conclude the transfer - even though he has yet to take the usually routine medical examination - before flying out to join up with the Brazil national squad for Monday's World Cup qualifier against Chile. The 24-year-old has agreed a four-year contract that makes him the highest-paid footballer in the history of the game, with a weekly salary of £160,000.

Ronaldo could conceivably be offered twice that amount but it could also be argued that City's pursuit of the twice footballer-of-the-year also demonstrates a degree of naivety on the part of the new owners. United's reaction was one of bemusement, a spokesman saying "we have made it clear all summer that Cristiano is not for sale".
lol?

bah same old story man, same old story...

some of my friends played with Luka Modric(while he was a kid ofc, some 13-14 years), they practiced in the same club, and as they remember he was one of the average players at that time. it was years later that he grew into "something useful" :)

same can be said about some other new Croatian star players(no point in bothering you with their names), so i guess it's not strange that Berbatov was also considered as a failure, ppl make mistakes in judging some1's talent...

@Nery, Man. City owners probably smoked too much hashish from middle east, they can't be ****in serious... i mean look at Chelsea, money can create a good club, but never a great club, money can buy players but not the fans and the tradition a club like Man Utd has...

( Fabregas already said won't go there in near future, mby at 35 ;P and juve's coach said buffon's price can't be paid, but dunno if juve will resist of some price like 100m e ;P)

how about Frank Lampard who didn't want to leave or Carvalho or Essien.

in every big club there are mercenaries, Chelsea has biggest squad on world, so its possible they have most those players, but they have loyal ones as well.

The only problem is that Chelsea relays on its loyal guys (Terry, Lampard, etc) while the main power of other teams in FA are mercenaries (C.Ronaldo, Torres, or Francesc Fabregas)

so pls think twice when talking about heart again.

torres is doing nothing comparing to gerrard , fabregas is kinda bound to arsenal and i think he will be there for quite a time as he seems not to be playing for money(if he wanted , he would have much better salary in some other club , as arsenal is known as not so rich club comparing to the rivals...) , and c.ronaldo is kinda too much looking for the wealth , but still at least 6-7 manU's standard players are putting their heart into the club , such as giggs , scholes , neville , van der sar , rooney kinda , ferdinand and few other... and I LoL @the thing about essien being chelsea's loyal... his club will always be lyon where he reached his top (:

and i dunno how you can you even deny the fact that chelsea is a 'robot team' when I can name at least 15 active players which were bought by >10 mil price in last few years , while there is no such club like them...

fatman69
7th September 2008, 07:40 PM
and don't forget that main power of Manchester is not C.Ronaldo, whose skills are getting exagurated by the hour, but mostly guys from "the island"- Giggs- one of my favourite all time players, Scholes- arrogant bastard but still a good player, Rooney- no comment necesary for Rooney,...

then let's see, the imba defence that has played for the past years Brown (one of the guys that won the '99 CL trophy as well) Rio Ferdinand- probably the best defender in FA (not John "Slippy" Terry)....

need i say more??

[EDIT] just cuz i didnt mention Liverpool and Arsenal that doesnt mean that they don't have a big football tradition (unlike Chelsea)...

sunnis

I see united doing well without his star Ronaldo, they will end like Barcelona and Ronaldinho, in total failure.
Giggs wasn't playing even 50% games last season, Scholes is idiot, Rooney is fat pig and his club will always be Everton, Brown just sux, he isn't playing regular anymore.

Lets see others, hargreaves and carrick gave their hearts in other clubs, others as well.

the only one to respect actually is Rio Ferdinand, though Terry is better defender, and Chelsea has best defence atm.

now you will probably start bull****ing but take a look at Man U.
in last 3 years they brough 7-8 players of their 1st team.

actually take even a closer look, MU is owned by American.

When did Malcolm Glazer watch a MU game?

and just think of how many games/support Abramovich give to Chelsea, he watches games all the time.

tradition does not play football, I can name u some ECC winners who are not even in 1st national leagues now, or other who haven't won anything for years while having such prestigious titles.

bah I am just talking to stupid fans who are blind to se the truth.

Manchester is atm missing more that just Ronaldo, but it can soon be slightly improved with coming of Berbatov. Ronaldo is a good player but there are other good players in Manchester...
keep in mind that those "fat pigs", "idiots", "players that just suck" are the ones who beat your precious Chelsea in race for the 2 most prestigious cups last year...

since we're on that topic, how many players can say that they've won 2 CL trophies in thier career? like Scholes, Brown, Giggs, G. Neville (although he didn't contribute very much for the last trophy)

most of the Chelsea cunts would be happy to have just 1, hell, they should be happy they were even in the finals...

Lets see others, hargreaves and carrick gave their hearts in other clubs, others as well.
no1 mentioned Hargreaves and Carrick, they are just regular players

yea John "Slippery" Terry, very nice defender. Peter Cech, with his helmet for retards, a mand that can't finish a training session without a slight concussion. not to mention the catastrophical errors he makes from time to time, at moments he is the best goalie in the world, but when he screws up, he screws up big time.

now you will probably start bull****ing but take a look at Man U.
in last 3 years they brough 7-8 players of their 1st team.
which would be logical since some of their players left, others from the generation '99 got old, that's what a good manager does.

actually take even a closer look, MU is owned by American.
and Chelsea is owned by a Russian. SO? Chelsea can be owned by a Queen of bloody England for all i care, but a club with so much investments and so little to show for is just pathetic.

When did Malcolm Glazer watch a MU game?

and just think of how many games/support Abramovich give to Chelsea, he watches games all the time.
is that really ****in important. it's about clubs and their tradition not about their owners...

dude you can say whatever you want, your Chelsea cunts will always remain a hired players, Manchester City can score even more cash from its new owners, but people will always know what clubs were always top clubs...

What are you talking about? Carvalho and Essien were signed for big fees. So the only 2 good players Chelsea have had from the start are Lampard and Terry. Even Joe Cole was already a decent player before he went there. Being rich doesn't make you the best club and it definitely will not buy the player's heart (shevchenko etc).
Anyway Sunnis, I do not want to go on as you are not a even a true Chelsea/football fan.

I can name u full team(s) since season 1998 since I follow FA league and I had 8 years at that moment so STFU and go watch Chinese football before talking to me again, I bet u never even watch FA league there in China, while I watch each and every game Chelsea or Valencia plays, even if it is 0 important for them.

Fatman, the point is that Abramovich give heart and support Chelsea while Glazer never did that to MU, he is just there for money, and Abramovich is paying that money because he love and support club, he saved club from serious punishments and relegation, as it were bankrupt.

John Terry is a great player, yes he maybe missed one penalty, so did C.Ronaldo in that same final. Let me remind you that Chelsea achieve least goals for five last years.

and talking about "helmet" Cech wears, you just prove how idiotic you seem to be, because we all know why Cech wears it, and its Health reasons.

he wears it after a Wigan striker (forgot the name) heavily damaged his head with a knee. The medical team forbid him to play without protection since another "foul" of that kind can be fatal for his career or even life.

about OT moving, its a joke Man city fans made, because they have majority in Manchester, and the massive United fans come from outside.

who said I don't watch la league? And the fact is its not less superior.

I favor Valencia in Primera which imho did bad last season, but I do support it, and I hope to win UEFA cup this season, I support it as much as Chelsea and since I support Chelsea, as those are 2 of my favorite teams.

I also favor Milan AC while watching italian league and also since childhood.

teams like Valencia, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Villareal, Deportivo LC, and rest. are not to be underestimated.

actually if you look past 10 years the winners of Chapmions league.

4 titles by Spanish teams (3 Real Madrid 1 Barcelona)
3 titles by English teams (2 Man U 1 Liverpool)
2 titles by italian teams (2 Milan)
1 title Portugal and 1 Germany (Porto and Bayern Munich).

if you look over history of competition.

1st Italy (11 wins 14 runner ups).
2nd Spain (11 wins 9 runner ups).
3rd England (11 wins 5 runner ups).

one more fact, the best scorer in the history of Champions league is Raul, who happens to come from ****ty Spanish Primera.

now you can see what kind of fan I am, I favored my teams in their leagues even if they fail to complete expected goals.
I bet you would give up your Liverpool if they don't complete in top 4

you should look at some facts before trying to insult me Chinese child.
