Le Parkour is the original and French term for the art of yamakasi.
My brother was training on it last year and me also up to some extent. The best place to begin is at a playground where there is a lot of free space, trees, and benches. There are also 2 movies, called Yamakasi 1 and 2. And I'm moving this to the sport section because this is not a serious discussion topic.
PS. Around 1 years ago there was a clan called Team Yamakasi on our server. :D

i've heard about that. i don't know where to place this "sport", i wouldn't even call it sport not even extreme sports (extreme sports are more like extreme activities not sports) since it's totally chaotic. but still, a good recreation never hearts and if the people like it, why not..

Parkour is the new sensation no ordinary man can do all stunts that those boys do... i saw both movies and i gotta say im deeply impressed, parkour is something like a Jackie Chan (or Cichi Cen how we call him ^^) movie but w/o fake hits, they are simply urban-acrobats. I saw many of their representations including the ones from Discovery Channel and David Guetta - Love don`t let me go'' video :D. Gj guys i once tried a fence to fence jump and i almost broke my hand =)).
I like this one http://youtube.com/watch?v=D2kJZOfq7zk :)

Hey I watched this video several days ago,
And sure parkour is demanding...
Climbing poles and jumping across things...
And they don't ussualy wait and jump,
Things happens fast,
You always keep on runnig...
One thing is for sure..
They won't have knees anymore..
twas a big article in yesterday's singapore paper. says people are slowly starting to catch up although in the start u get a lot of broken ankles knees etc. but i heard that many of them get proffesionals from germany and switzerland for training.
