I would like to ask you about capoeira.

How did you get into it and how come this brazilian thing shows up in Poland?

Someday, me and my friend thought about registration on Capoeira.
I shared our idea with my cousin. I had a mature exam and I ccouldn't go on training due school. 1 year after him at least I could register, and that was my beginings.

What about history of capoeira in Poland. Well, our teacher and his friends started training with guy named Adam Faba. That was in 1995-96. He was a karate instructor and probably he just watched "Only the strong" and started to add music in his trainings and called that "Capoeira". I know it's totally mistake, but without that his students probably never would put more interests in capoeira, so in 1998 they left to Germany in searching of real Mestre. They spoke with many Mestres and most of them agreed to come to Poland and teach correct form of Capoeira. The only one who said "no" was Mestre Nem, but his wife persuaded him to go :). In 1998 he came to Poland and made there first in history official capoeira metting. One year later he opened first capoeira section. Since this year students of Adam Faba had batizado in Artes das Gerais group and they are training till today :).
