Raising a petition for the introduction of -ardm mode games. Not only they are fun, but they really differentiate the skill level between players and I think on the scale level of experience gain ( dota experience ) it will be much more useful to players who are in transition.

It's a debate topic, so feel free to add your opinion/if you have one and please make it constructive as much as possible.

Skill - nope. What skill? To have universal items and whenver u die those items will fit on the next hero too? Uhm then ill say Arcane, PT, HoD and some bracers xD.
The transition thingy - were u refering that when he dies he transite to another items?

So here comes my next opinion : if u want fun go wtfdm, mb wtfdmom; u want skill test go arsh. ardm is definately NOT the best way to combine those things...not to mention that if u really can make the difference between RL and dota u can easily combine fun and skill in a ss game.

Anything is better then boring -rd mode so i totally support -ardm mode !
-ardm reminds me of very interesting games long ago with -dm,-sc and other funny modes
now i cant find ppl playing any of those modes so its kinda sad and i would be very happy to see any of those modes in ss games.

@gEoLiNo: I dont actually find -wtf mode funny, in fact that is not funny at all ... Imo -ardm mode is the most interesting/funny mode of all other combomodes, so lets just discuss about this mode
And that about universal items sux too because its exactly the funny thing to see wrong items on certain heroes.

Yeah, -dm is ok, but allowing backdoors is for noobs, perverts and totally destroys game balance ;)

it does differentiate skill level but to what extent? it would be pure luck based on chancing of heroes but ofcourse skilled players will avoid unnecesary deaths as much as they can but this would result in noone wanting tanks since mostly tanks go into battle first and a little low level player with a tank will definitely die. low skilled players would prefer to -repick instead of tanking but this is just my opinion.
and yes making global items wont be of much help when lets say u buy a butterfly on troll but u get randomed as ezalor with butterfly? its too unpredictable.

since when is a butterfly a universal item?? it was a fun mode but i don't think it's beneficial to player skill gain cuz the choice of items gets pretty narrowed down, and dota is about combinating items with skills...

it would be fun also if some1 added -id (item drop) but all these modes would probably lead to somewhat closed games...

Lets play v5.84 on ss, cuz it was fun, old map, old heros, old items, old all....or try even much much older version...well, maybe there should be a rule that once in a time you can host(by ur own) a game(private?) where is fun mode(anything you want-sc, dm, wtf, id, aa etc) and you can spam gn via bot.

Hmm , i might take this into considiration and here and there use it in one of my games that i host ... but i wont do it that often , and i wont say b4 the game starts what mode it will be.

Even though you have a point there and it sounds perfect in written form, I don't think it will achieve its practical use. Seriously how many players are positive to changes ?

Talking from personal exp. I didn't like the idea either, thought it was the lamest mode ever, but monotony overruled me once and I decided to check it out. I was shocked how the mode brought back the excitement.

Anyway, if you don't like the idea, fine, you don't have to make a remark about the topic though...

This mode rox, I realy enjoy it, very exciting mod, with much more gangs cause u can win not only by destroying rax, but by killing all heroes randomed, when there are no more heroes, it's the end =)

It's not like 80% of ss games where ppl just farm & farm & farm then push when when they are overfarmed...

About ggc, I'm still playing there sometimes, but faust isnt playing, he has some period (play 1month then stop 3-4months : P) about akira I don't know wasnt my friend anw...

ic didnt know about faust's schedule. just that i met him sometime ago.

and about things changed here...im not so sure about that. it still looks the same. the previous day i observed an ss game and looks just the same.. not 1% difference.

Here we got a nice example of angry man spitting on ss because he got kicked from it. I never heard him complaining at the time he was in ss , but strangely , now his words sound like "I don't play ss because games are boring and everyone farms , not because I got kicked". And stop trying to "make" sns to go to some other place just to prove how ss sux... you suck really , and what you are doing is too lame for me not to comment it.

-ardm is hell of a mode, brings both fun and excitement, and shows skill difference in lots of ocassions, believe it or not :)
hope i will see that mode in your community when i get approved :D

o yea ...ardm is very good mode...some might say it is fun but on that mode u can show ur skill and how u understand the game....cause u need a "propper" build for your hero :) and if u want to stay alive u can just hide behind the tower and ward the whole map but i preffer ward>Gang

I saw him discussing about some test games in tech support not some time ago ;) (link: http://www.dce-gaming.com/index.php?site=forum_topic&topic=621 so you can see that date of opening thread was may 1st) and dce is great for me at least , the biggest goal there is to have mannered people , and still games are on more than decent lvl. Games are really imba when you know you can relay on your teammate :) can't play it because I accidentally , when I was putting xpam on old ip , upgraded northend w3 by xpam patch -.-'

" IHCS2 " community - " ardm " based games, mostly. Nowadays, such games are being played in " Dota-Invite " as well, though not that often.

By the way, in the last couple of weeks, I've seen many applications written by " SS " members at " DI " forum. Conspiracy ? ;)
