As we may know , the world is full of 'junk' people , criminals , thieves etc.
This thread is made so that we could try getting in their mind and trying to know why they do that.
We'll discuss several oppinions given here. Spam/flame posts will be punished so be carefull of what you say , because oppinions can vary alot but if someone says something stupid i don't want someone else to come saying 'omfg what a retard'.

as far as I remember there was a guy-his name was John Hinckley, who tried to kill Ronald Reagen. When he was interrogated by the police he told them that Jodie Foster told him to do so. It is also mentioned by Brad Pitt in "Seven"

Everyone has a killer instinct, but it's the stuff that prevents us from doing so some people lack. I would've killed at least 100 people by now had I had the opportunity and the knowledge that I will not be arrested.
Put them in jail and kill the worst one.
Then you're a murderer yourself.

there were many experiments carried out by psychiatrists showing that it's just a matter of time and situation where most of people show violent behaviour-e.g-one guy was given a button or sth like this and he was told that he controls voltage and current and that the second guy is connected to "the line". That second guy was to answer the questions whereas the first was to "punish" him for bad answers. Of course it was all fake except the fact the "controller" didn't know that. U may imagine what happened. The first guy after a few wrongly answered questions turned the button to 150% power and was happy like a baby that the second was "suffering"

We, like all animals, all have a natural born killer instinct, but humans, trough their intelligent, superior nature have a part of their brain, the cortex that prevents, stops those impulses from reaching the body and thus persueing our toughts. So it's all in the brain, some are lacking that part that controls violence thus they will act whenever they feel like it.

Well...
If you do that! You will give them a discipline But with fear. When the fear effect is away! He will start to do it again...
It is better to start to teach good things from someone's childhood...
It is about teachings,
But still you have your choice...
You have freewill

Imo best thing to do is to offer someone a good education from his childhood. I mean a educated man will think twice before doing such things and in 60% of the cases he doesn't do anything stupid.
Ofc the context matters so that's why some people educated as they are can do such things.

Damn it..
I hate when police raids through highschools and tries to 'educate' us, preventing us from becoming murderers, or any kind of law-breaker individuals.. like we were some 5yo kids.
On topic..
Just read today, in one of my preparation tests for ToEFL exam, a 'reading' section text, referring to aggression - criminality, which is 3 types formed:
1) Biological ( fight for survival );
2) Psychodynamic ( unsatisfying of needs, resulting in represses );
3) Kinesthetic ( people thinking that other people are trying to harm them, so they need to become aggressive ).
The biological one is kinda simple to understand, but, it is not mainly for humans; why? it is controlled by the hypothalamus, and it has been proved, that species with higher activity in the hypothalamus are more aggressive, and, an electrical impulse to the hypothalamus will instantly generate the 'aggressive stance'; humans, less likely are to act like that, as they got a larger brain, with more ramifications, and the hypothalamus commands are stopped by other brain sections, before resulting in a physical action ( fight or anything similar ).
The psychodynamic one is mostly resulted from family/friends affection; it has been shown, that people with less care from family or friends side in the childhood period are more likely to become criminals or other kind of law breaker individuals than people who enjoyed a good care and family love. It is perfectly true also for persons which had troubles in their childhood ( got beaten, oppressed, threatened by parents / other kids or got any type of mental disorder ).
The third type, the kinesthetic one, trained by the fear that someone would threaten his own person sake, it's the most dangerous one nowadays, as many people always live with the stress that they're going to be beaten / robbed / killed at any time, by someone on a street, in dark places, late at night. More and more people got a personal gun, people who, you wouldn't give 2 cents on their face, can take you down with the almighty power of 1 'click'. Why? because they 'thought' that you would harm them.
Ah, ****.. we gotta keep our minds clean and don't overreact with these ****s, since, it would only make the social situation in which humanity is, reported to criminality, worse.

Many of the serial killers were quite intelligent and educated, education has nothing to do with it, perhaps you should think twice before posting.

1. you would kill no one. pls..
2. you would be arrested. It's a common misconception among fellons. They think they have superior intelligence, but they don't, since they've already showed how intelligent they are by turning to crime.

Yea, I know, that's why I didn't kill anyone yet. I said I would've had I known that I will not get arrested.

Some do, some don't, intelligence has nothing to do with it. Please, stop blabbering, you know nothing about psychology and your theories are just plain ridiuclous.

True , although you might wanna read that i said that only 60% of the educated people don't do it , the rest , 40% are an exception. I didn't say that some criminals aren't smart.

40% are an exception. I didn't say that some criminals aren't smart. Timothy McVeigh-the guy who blew up the federal building in Oklahoma City prepared his plan in 99%(according to police data)-but he forgot one thing(that 1%)-he forgot to put a reg.plate on the car he wanted to leave the city and soon after the big bang he was arrested for that:noob:

@ Ontopic: Imo criminals usualy escape not because of their smartness , but because of the incompetence of some policemen , the O.J Simpson is a solid case that demonstrates what i've said. And then , they are treated like 'smart' criminals , because they didn't get caught.

Against death penalty ? Trust me, when you see a TV show about how cold-bloded, mercyless, sick, brutal these people are, you'll be asking for death penalty.

I thought like you exactly about 1 - 2 years ago.
However you have to think in the perspective of the Government and the Families who suffered from the murder.
First of all lets see the Arguments For and Against Death Penalty:
For:
More space in Prisons.
Less money spend on Life-Time Prisoners.
Less money invested on Prisons.
Families satisfied because murderer is dead.
Against:
Primitive.
Morally wrong.
The Government has enough money to keep the prison running.
Murders suffer more from the Life-Sentence then being killed straight away.
Please do add to For and Against category if I didn't mention everything.
I am for Death Penalty in some extreme cases, that is because why waste space in Prisons for such human beings?

the human mind can see the world from another persons perspective just by knowing some of the facts of life about the other person .
so what makes a murderer ? the low quality of the persons life, fear , envy , hate , anger , depression , stress , lack of something essential for living a decent life ( money , food , a place to sleep )
what makes Bin Laden a terrorist ? hate for other countryes more developed than his witch abuse of power . he thinks he is doing the right thing for his country , he is a nationalist , if he had his way he would eradicate all of the world and replace it with his own . he is an example of a twisted mind , corrupted by power ( the power to kill ) .

Death penalty is worse than spending a life in prison, no matter what you think, obey. Every creature instinctively wants to survive and live in any possible way.
Murderers shouldn't really be sentenced to a life in prison or to death, instead they should be a free working power, they should do all the work for the society, for maybe 10 - 15 years, depending on the case. A modern slave concept is the best solution possible.

They don't get tortured, ffs.
And you can't get tortured longer than a day, maybe two, you'd die eventually.
LoGiStiK

I didn't mean real torture. It's just the atmosphere and the treatment you recieve that's hellish. Bad food , some get raped , many are victims to some kind of 'slavery' of some 'high-ranked' prisoners in there , etc.
