I know this is little old for you, but these comedians are the best so far. Believe me, every one of them is better then all of these new comedians (like Pablo Francisko). I'm not saying that new comedians aren't funny, I'm just saying that all of the new ones have learned from this group that I have posted in this poll.

I forgot to say that my 3 favorite are:
- Groucho Marx (one of the 4 Marx brothers; movies: Duck Soup, Horse Feathers...),
- Richard Pryor (look on IMDB for his movies Stir Crazy; See No Evil, Hear No Evil...),
- Alan Alda (his most famous part is in comedy series from '70s and '80s, called M*A*S*H, where he plays surgeon Hawkeye Pierce).

Just go on IMDB and write any of these names and you will see. Also, AJalex told you already go on youtube and find some short clips from their movies.

@ALoNe MAsTer Yeah Chuck Norris is not too bad :). The word on the street is that, When the Boogeyman goes to sleep every night he checks his closet for Chuck Norris :).

Yeah he's not bad (he was the funniest character in Friends), but I made this thread to honor some of the biggest comedians in history. I know you all are now thinking: "What the hell is he talking about? I never heard for most of these people." Well. my only advice for you would be: Try to find some movie with these comedians in it. Believe me you will laugh so hard...

I'm sorry but I have missed to put two names in vote list: David Jason (Del Boy) and John Cleese (Monty Python Flying Circus). When I think better it wasn't enough place for all these comedians. So you can vote of course, but I would like that each and every one of you guys write his top three comedians of all times.

Oh yeah, if you can, write 2 more comedians that you find hilarious.

I've just look at Wikipedia. I've never heard for him until now (I must confess). He's one of the never generation comedian, but I've never seen him on TV, so I can't comment his comedian skills. But be sure that every newer comedian, no matter how hard he try, must "pick up" some tricks from these legendary comedians. I would ask to write 2 more comedians in your list if it's not a problem.

My opinion is that Ali G is only average comedian. So I think he couldn't possibly match with Richard Pryor or Groucho Marx.
Come on guys, first watch some movies or series that have been made before 1990. You're just watching period between 1990-2007. Why? Do you think that before 1990 movies and series hadn't exist.

And where is Jim Carrey ?

He's very good comedian, but this list, by my opinion, consist only best of the best. I think that Jim Carrey need 2 or 3 good movies more to get on my list. I repeat this is just my opinion.

You really think that she deserves place in this list? I mean she's only average comedian. Jokes from her sitcom are like a "hundred years old":). I think that most of this sitcoms look a like. Have you notice that? Of course, there are some who are original (like Frasier or Friends). Think about it.
