Well, I created this thread, because I didn't want to create a new thread for each cgmap tournament, so ... from now on, all cgmap tournaments will be announced here!
You may give your suggestions...about which maps should be played here, and why! 'Active' tournament will be added on thread title.

Note: Old cgmap tournaments's threads were merged here ! ( TheWeakestLink/RiddleContest/Mad Balls Arena Tournament ).
Note2: Dota tournaments won't be played here, because we have a own dotasection for that.
Note3: Ignore the poll :)

Due to many requests we decided to make this tournament.

This SUNDAY 3pm/15h server time... channel Tourney (18th June).

The Weakest Link ? What is it ?

How To Play...:
- Listen to the sound when it is played, then click on the unit you think made that sound.
- Each responce is worth up to 3 points if you can answer correctly on the first try.
- Type "-repeat" to have the sound repeated.
- Wrong anwsers subtract 1 point from the potential 3 points you could earn from each sound.
- There is no penalty for not answering at all.

Game Rules...:
- Every 5 rounds one person is declared The Weakest Link.
- If there is a tie, the player with the most wrong answers is The Weakest Link.
- If the tied players have the same number of wrong answers, they will play Sudden Death to determine who is The Weakest Link.
- If a winner has not been found after 5 rounds of Sudden Death, one players will be ranomly declared The Weakest Link.

Dificulty...:
Normal Mode - All 710 sounds are available to be played at random.

Tournament Rules ... :

-Players can't tell each other the names of units which made particular sounds and they can't insult each other.

- When a players loses, he has to quit the game.
Note: If he doesn't leave the game, he'll be disqualified from further contests and punished (ip ban for some days ?).

-Players that leave when the game starts or when they are playing will be disqualified from further contests and punished (ip ban for some days ?).

Tournament system will be ...:
-Each group has 8 players... 3 groups ... 21players.
-Then, 4 players from each group move on, into semifinals.
-We will have 3 groups again, each one with 4 players.
-Then 2 from each group move into the final.
-Final will be played with 6players, -> Expert Mode

NOTE: The draw will be made randomly, but there are 4 "group holders". Players that never played this game, cannot join this tournament.

Level upon level, task upon task. You must dominate the riddles and puzzles we have set for you. Using only your wits you will try to conquer the problems within the map.

The levels are challenging, the puzzles are complex, the riddles are confounding. Fighting is something that does not work in this world, instead your mind is the only tool that will help you.

It's a riddle map, try to solve it. «25 Riddles»
This is a contest and the team that finishes this map faster, wins !
( do not tell the answer here, [coz if u do, u'll be banned for some weeks] just a few hints if someone asks )
We will have the top3 players/teams :p. ( 3players per team max ).
Beware, because this map is VERY DIFFICULT!
Note -> You must attach a SS here with ur level in quests and you must tell me how much time did u take to reach that lvl ( real time please ). Don't try to edit the SS!

PRIZES ->
1st place -> 30 reputation points (2/3 green reputation bars) + Custom title -> "Riddle Contest Winner" ( 2players ) // 22 reputation points each player+ Custom title -> "Riddle Contest Winner" ( 3 players )
Runner up -> 12 reputation points ( 2players ) // 10 reputation points for each player ( 3 players )

Impossible, coz u wont finish this in 1 day... it will take a couple of days.

-> If you play offline ( solo ) you just need to save the game, quit and save replay... then continue always like this. In the end you just need to send me all the replays, and I'll see your time ( first replay lenght+2nd+etc)

->If you play online ( team ) you just need to write in a paper all levelkeys, then quit ...when you want to continue, just write the all the level keys till your level and continue playing. Ofc you need to save all the replays+send me when u finish.

Ok now I was thinking to play it like this: We all meet in 1 day and play like 5-10 games (minimum 5 games and maximum 10 games) and who has the lowest score at the end of a sesion looses and has to get out :D. And so on untill 4 are left or it depends on the time each other has. My request is that those who had signed up to also be there not just to sign up for show and don't come and the tour. Also I was planing on all to gather on channel "tour" in one day when we all can come. Now since I've forgot to tell you before you've registrated ... could you post a day in wich you can play and to be the same with all others? I was thinking that in the weeked we all have more time :D.

Next Saturday (3/11/07), we'll play a cg tournament @ 16.00 CET (Server Time) (channel w3-tour).

(Tomorrow we will have a minitournament at 20.00 CET (server time), if you are interested, please come! (channel w3-tour).

Feel free to come. We'll have 4 groups, each one with 4 players and the winner of each group (the player with most wins in the game [3 rounds]) will go to the final. If there is some tie, the player with the most accuracy/hits will go through.
Then, in the final, the guy with the most wins will be the champion. Again, if there's some tie, the player with the most accuracy/hits will win.

But if there's some problems like you have more hits but X has more accuracy, post here the replay & the screenshot of the result and we'll decide who goes through.
