Another superstition movie staring Jessica Biel and Nicolas Cage. If you liked the Butterfly Effect, I am positive you would like this. I think part of the idea was stolen from it.

The movie was good in general,Nicolas Cage was pretty good in it,he just had to give us something better than the idiotic movie ghost rider,for me it was meant to be a scary movie for kids of age 4 to 10 years,but the connection between Next and Butterfly effect isn't that strong,the idea of course is not that original,but it's still a very good movie.

True, but what got me to think it was copied, was that in the end, it was an ending where the magician didn't accomplish what he wanted to do. He said every time he looked in the future, something was changed. Where as in Butterfly Effect (especially the 1st one), it was almost the same ending.

It was obvious to me that he asked them to keep the girl he loves out of it because there was no way to save both the world and the girl at the same time,or at least i prefer to believe so.

Correct, and in Butterfly Effect 1, the main character chose not to meet his lover because there would be other concerns and innocents.

worst ending ever imo. And nicholas cage pretending to be someone godlike, the moive really gets out of control to the late moments.
Still spends 2 hours i cant say it was that bad,some actions scenes were kinda good.

That was nice. Alltrough film is very good too. But those 2 mins was a bull****. After nuclear strike he just wake up in middle of film and make everything again :f
It should be continued in second part or smth. But it would be very similar so... I dont expect a sequel :)

nice movie , especialy the final moments, when he casted bloodlust on the butterfly wich had rabid and suddenly it morphed into a warewolf who was killed by Dorothy, and after that, Jack the Rapper came and cut Dorothy with a rhime and ....the end i guess.

The movie is quite ....good...even if there are better movies whit Nicolas Cage...
