First of all, it would be good if there is a tournament rather than only ladder/custom games for few reasons - it is more exciting, more prestigous and most of all more fun to play on tournaments with organized schemes/schedules and players being there for the game itself.
Secondly, I myself prefer 1v1 tournament, however I would appreciate a 2v2 one as well ( especially after that thread about the 2v2 best team and that I also recently found a good AT partner :-) - anyone one who wanna challenge us - PM me ). But I think it'd best if a poll is started, so that everyone can participate in the determination of the type of the competition. I don't really how can one say who is good player/has the right to vote/ect.. like it was mentioned in the previous posts. Everyone should have the right to participate ( hey ppl we live in democracy ). Then just make an EXACT schedule and whoever player/team decides not to come give a freewin to the other. Don't know what
Lastly, in my opinoin, limiting the number of participants up to 16 is .. ridiculous. Make it 32 or 64 with first rounds being BO1 and later on - BO3 (like every other decent on-line tournament around the world).But before all,PLEASE RETURN THE TOURNAMENT or some regular player from teh server will have to organize it, like the d0ta tournament proposal.

P.S. So admins, please add a poll about what the next tournament could be ; and in the meanwhile everyone, whatever his respond is, can just write at the of his post "Poll: 1v1", "Poll: 2v2" ; admins please don't kill me for the last one : ) .
