DOTA LEAGUE (IHL Like)

k i would like that there is more action on eurobattle.net.

The league would be played ar(or vr) 5v5. There will be arranged matches like every
saturday or so. There will be a list of all league players from where the players on each team will be randomly chosen. If the team you are on wins you get 3 points, if your team loses you lose 1 point. And then all the points a taken togheter and a top list is made.

I would like comments and suggestions on this.

You guys know, that easemode is for newbies, I know it and now Fuzzy66
certainly knows it too. But the idea of creating such league is fine to me.
There is nothing wrong in giving points to players for teamwining as long
as the teams are more or less equal (or close to being equal). Such league,
with, I think, 50 - 60 players could give a lot of fun and, given time, indicate
who really is omg-gosu-pwnzoor player and who only speaks so about himself.

;-).

But, as all leagues, this one too should have a list of rules. And the first rule
is that it should be closed for new players. I have no idea who should decide
about bringing up new players and on the basis of what premises, but one
thing I am certain of is that noone uninvited should ever play such a
league high level game.

I can see two important differences between tournaments and league:

1. Tournaments are all occasional events. They can bring much joy, but
only once in a few months. League, in comparison, would be a constant
source of fun and rivalry.

2. Tournaments are made for teams. This is the main difference. Sure,
one could tell, Dota *is* actually a team game. Of course it is, but we
all know how does everyday's Dota playing look like. A league match could be
organised any time, if only ten league players emerge.

I can't really tell why I am so attracted by this whole league idea, but the
more I think about it the more I am convinced it would be great to do
such a thing.

The points wouldnt be given on usual bnet xp but on some kind of online top list.

I think this idea is great, it's like playing public games but on a more organised way + you get points as an individual if your team wins.
I wish you the best on organising this whole thing ;)

OK FORGET WHAT I SAID HERE! The players wont be chosen randomly they will be chosen by theyr points for example if its a 2v2 game(just for explanation) and the players have 100/50/90/60 points the teams will be 100/50 and 90/60 because that would be a fair game.

(in the beggining when there are no points the players will be chosen randomly)

With all due respect, Fuzzy, in my opinion your list of rules is, well, useless.
Mainly because those rules are taken from a completely different league,
with completely different laws. We (I mean xpam dota community) are now in
a stage of huge changes. After, not so well introduced imo, limiting the
number of ss channel players you cannot afford any mistakes.

There is no word about the whole -spar idea, the points system has no
upper limit and you make no provision of a fairminded person who could
actually assign those points and judge any inevitable conflicts. On top of
that, the rules *must* be simple - they must not significantly affect
a normal game, created, after all, only for fun. No need for all those forfeit
and going afk rules.

EDIT: As you already know, I am a big fan of a league idea. I only want it to be
as enjoyable as it is possible.
