you have to disable the firewall: My network Places; right click on Internet conection; Propreties; Advanced, and there disable all things that are enabled!
:) have fun! :)

if don't worked; enter PvPGN, options, gameplay, see if game port is 6112. If not work, try 6113...6119.!!

i had done all this thing but still i cant create, maybe is it in this:
when i check my ip adress at http://www.showip.com/ it show me 81....., but when i check IP adress in my TCP/IP setting there is 172.....
so the result is that i am in indoor LAN and dont have public IP adress
is chance to create games?

Dude if you dont have 100% sure how to help dont help cause u can make he bug his game by doing all this thinks.
look all you have to do is:

enter in your modem problably your modem ip must be 192.168.1.1

go on NAT and add "Redirect 192.168.X.XX(your private IP not your router IP your machine IP) to port 6112 (write 6112 on both labels).

save and reboot. start game and host.

yeah dude,
im using a direct hook up from pc to modem.... i fixed the firewall thing like you said and it worked fine... only the problem now is... sometimes after playing a game or some leavers when i try to host another game no one can see it... can someone post a step-by-step guide on how to setup everything from the start...
as in complete... whether router or direct hookup to ur cable modem? and dude.. how can we help u if u cant tell us in proper english what the problem is... id appreciate help on this cause my friends and i love hosting games

my english is incorrect?

TP_MoonStar
2nd June 2006, 05:09 PM
For rcrushzx: You surelly can host but its a hard job not cause you have broadband connection but cause i didnt understand your post your english isn't good and mine is wrost :( i'll read later i have too much work now.

For Dotch:the problem is that it may be configured wrong on your router.. take a look and see if u openend the correct ports 6112 UDP 6112 TCP for pc 1 and if you opepened other ports like 6113 dont forget to chose on the game 6113 cause even if 6113 is opened and in game is 6112 the w3 will try to send through the battle.net packets intro port 6113. *sorry by mad english ;/ but you guys speak using abreviations and i dont quite understand abreviations and this stuff.

To Nehmesis: you can sure you can you have remove acess to your router? if you have go on IE and type private modem IP add and you will see a label on your screen asking for login and password, if you dont know what is the login and password tell me your modem and i'll pm u with password and login.

Hey dude, sorry for the abbreviations,
the english is kinda hard to understand which makes it even harder to determine the problem... anyways i fixed my problem already... i think... haha.... setting up a static ip i think is not needed as long as you're not using a router... what i did was i opened up the ports 6112-6119 UDP and TCP by including them in the exceptions list on my firewall... i think it did the trick cause i was hosting games the whole day yesterday and it i didnt encounter any problems. as for the nehmesis' question, dude i think your ip isnt the problem... maybe its just the configuration of your LAN connection which i think is the problem. try setting up the static ip over there. by the way, has there been an increase on the number of leavers lately? i cant seem to play a decent game wherein no one leaves... hahaha

How Can I Setup Static Ip Adress, When I Dont Have Access To The Router???

is not on lan network that you have to create a game, is on battle.net

dotch
4th June 2006, 06:14 AM
dude i thought you didn't have a router??? you said so earlier.... type ipconfig /all at command prompt or msdos then open the tcp/ip settings of your LAN connection and just copy the details. from your ip add to subnet and gateway mask it should work. if not try asking again cause that's all i did and it worked beautifully.

have u included port 6112 to 6119 UDP and TCP ports in the exceptions list in your windows firewall??

hey tongerks, im also from the philippines, im not sure about smart wireless, im using PLDT Broadband, i just set up my static ip and included the ports i mentioned above in my exceptions list for windows firewall and ive been hosting ever since. the question is, is computer hooked up directly to your cable modem or do you split the connection with people via a router?
