And whats special in this strategy? I saw it many times, one guy tryed it vs Grubby long time ago, but was smashed like noob. If you scouted it earlier and made 3-4 spirit walkers, you would win easily.

Always Use Ghouls and soon Upgrade(for frenzy + Orb for lich) :p , then Destroyers and nuke human fast !! Try to attack his milithia on base !! or in his new expo !!
fiends lf he went some dragonHawks , just few fiends will Help u :).
Some times make some grag lf mass Air (fly machines) , lts just depend on the enemys units !! ..

PS : BTW , any one tried to Defend in his base while makeing his food limit : 50% !! ( Low Upkeep ).. lts old stratge , make u get 100% gold income, but lts Realy lmba lf u going to mass , or lf ur enemy has expo and u cant take expo like him , so u have to defend in ur base and go mass units after 2k Gold or 1.5 :).

hmm . i usualy use the crypt+zig and after altar start, and i get to tier 3 as fast as possible in tier 1 i have like 5 ghouls and tier 2 i go for 4-5 fiends and then just destros and a few aboms , that strat i saw some1 playin vs orc but i think vs human is as good

Dim3t3(6) no offense man, but your ping is 200-260 in good moments... I respect you and haven't reported dispite I had 2 ss with 300 ping, cause I know you're fair player(dont use hacks). dunno about my micro - but reason why i started to play UD is, that i started to enjoy micro with fiends+dk. When i tryed it 1st time, i realised that entertains me 5X more than playing orcs. Call it however u want - "LACK OF MICRO" "NOT ENOUGH SKILL TO PLAY MELEE UNITS"

It's nothing new.. Every my orc vs ud game end like that,.. i owe hard im midgame, ( once i even killed both heroes(dk + lich) and i has lvls 5,4 , ud has 3-2 ) ) , 2times bigger army...
and then ud gets destro , and its gg Can't fight it... i can win only if he quit in midgame coz he doesn't realise that imbalance.

LoL Obey. I am not undead player but imo vs orcs its the hardest mu for ud (its pro's opinion too). And the same for orcs its the easiest mu vs ud. Look when orcs are going to t2 and when he is finish its so easy to make expand. Then little later 2 bestiary and cya ud. Raiders, kodo , wiws , bats and if orc is using his brain in middle game with expo he will make t3 for upgrade borows. I saw new strategy or its old (i dont know coz i am not orc player) when orc make 3 heroes tauren and sh as third with hex its so nice then.

An orc rush at start but later undeads take over with dreadlord and death knight. it is mainly a ground battle where abominations defeat taurens because vampiric aura and necros help a lot: Unholy frenzy, cripple and stealing tauren corpses from spirit wakers. Ofcource orc uses its own abilities.

There is a counter for everything. I started gargoyles because I was afraid of wyverns, he didnt make wyverns probably because he saw gargoyles. It is true what you wrote about bansee but as you know few undead make bansees because at tier 2 necros are better and usually there is no time to evolve them enough, especially if you know that your opponent is too agressive.

few ud use necro apart from "4fun players" necro/wagon which imo is very lame. you can find exactly zero pro replays with necro/wagon.

vs tauren, ne bears banshee is imba. it is also lame but when you cant win other way... anyway i dont like banshee either but its better than necro. in my games necro wasnt for obvious skellies but for unholy frenzy.

vs orc air sux, gargs > wivs but gargs will losse these gargs to bats. if air then only wyrms with antibat fiends. than necro frenzy on wyrms and easy win.

no time to evolve? you had time to make master necros and let enemy taurens + spirit walkers o_O

btw is there still 1.20xx ver of w3 on xpam? if yes i`ll post my old reps to show what im talking about

ud have great strenghts but also great weaknesses. imbalances yes but equally on plus and on minus.

oh and i think that ud and ne are two races which are highly dependant on serwer quality. low hp tier1 units+ lag= :hang:

i usually dont play shams vs ud(they sucks).but ur ghoul start confused me, I tought u are going for mass ghouls with frenzy and vampire as 2nd hero.In that case shams pwn with their lightning shield.

Ok, my friend, first of all this replay is not "top" ud replay...
Second of all you wanted pointers so I ,as a skilled ud, will give you some:

1. 2x crypt for massing fiends is a "NO", only go 2x crypts for mass ghouls or gargs.

2. hero choice: Cryptlord, CL is Standalone/Support hero, so going him only is a bad choice. Best support for CL is Death knight, which you didn't get.

3. First skill on hero was ARMOR???? Never take passive skills like auras on any hero first. Or its a GG for your enemy. My choice would be impale 1st, armor, impale, armor etc..

4. Your build order sux. You left your necropolis open for any attack. Since halls of the dead are your defensive building you have to shield it with crypts and other buildings, which you didn't do.

5. It's a rule for all Ud's to make 1 nerubian in their base, which you didn't do.

6. You didn't make tomb of relics at the start so you didn't have skeleton wand to buy. Big mistake if you play ud.

7. You made your expansion very far from Main base to defend and you built no necropolis to tp in case of emergency. Also you massed nerubian towers there - it's another "NO", you mass spirit towers not nerubians, since nerubians have 9 attack.

8. you had bad scouting throughout the game, so you didn't know what your oponent was doing until the last moment.

9. bad fiend micro, you lost half of your army at first fight up mid. you should have tp-ed or burrow them. You burrow them after the enemy left.

10. You bought stupid orb of corruption, when elf had no air units. What for? Also you won cuz your fiends > archers and Wyrms > bears, you went hero focus on Demon killer and bears, you enemy didn't tp and you killed all his army. His micro was also bad.

This is all, you dont have to listen what I say, give replay to some pro an hear him out what's his opinion. The best way to improve is to watch a lot of

No, thats what i was looking for constructive critism, i will head your advice and use those ideas, cuz they seem rather optimal, but mostly I've been just experimenting cuz I'm fairly new to online status, only been playin for a couple months.

well thnx for feedback, imma go view some good undead replays, now i have a deeper understanding of the game the subtleties of their strats are more understandable.

then u must have no idea about the destroyer... its just almost usless without mana... and no.. u werent fighting creeps when u morphed like 6 statues instantly and then 2 when u were in battle... and it does not matter what you fight... watch some reps.. u can absorb mana and turn autocast of orb off and fight your creeps... it just matters... its all destro has.

this all started from me posting a reply vs Nightelves

I took CryptLord because I needed a Tank for my spiders, I knew I was going to get to lvl2 and didn't want to use mana on creep,s so I took Passive skill. I knew because I had spiders they were probly going to get some good ground melee & I secured expansion so i knew it was time to get me some Crazy Wyrms. And the mine i chose on that map was perfect because It left them with no way to expand, without me destroying it in production. Through out this I didn't find the cash in my pocket to get me a 2nd hero, because I had better plans. And I wooped that Demon HUnter and his force of nature. O and I got Nerubians at my Expand because they are much cheaper saved for Wyrms, the amount was intimadating, and I didn't want them to run away from their death.

All in All I thought I had good strategy, worked way better then massing ghouls vs NE

1 thing i want to say about orb... and i`ll try to quote(hopefully i can recall) Remind, probably not only he best player but also one of the most innovative:
"an orb for NE and UD is so necesary... u must buy orb on DH even if it would cost double gold..." same goes for the lich with orb of corruption, i remember a game, FoV vs someone... a NE (dont remember name)... he went DK and then gone for a naga push... and even thou we all know orb does not work on naga (with frost arrow) he did buy one but eventually made lich and transfered the orb, BUT before that since his micro is just insane, he manually used frost arrow and also orb atack so that both 'spells' affect... reason? it's simple... the undead nuke is just no complete without the orb.. the orb is like the 'cheery from a cake'.
