Hello, i will explain how to protect your computer from viruses, spyware, adware, trojans, etc.
(and offcourse some good other software and tips)
Protect your PC from viruses:
As first to say, the most important thing is that you should have anti-virus. Anti-virus is a software that protect you from viruses.There are many anti-virus programs, like: Norton Anti-Virus, PC-Cilin, AVG Anti-Virus, Kaspersky Anti-Virus, BitDefender and there are others... ONE anti-virus is recommended and totally enough...
I suggest users to use Kaspersky Anti-Virus (it's the best anti-virus software for me)

Protect your PC from spyware, adware, malware, etc:
Offcourse its recommended to use anti-spyware software.Spyware is some kind of infection that can harm, slow and spam your computer. There are a lot of anti-spyware programs like: Ad-Aware, Spybot Search & Destroy, Xoftspy, Spyware Nuker, Microsoft Giant Anti-Spyware (BETA) and there are other... (theese are popular)
I recommend you using Spyware Nuker (its the best for me)
All you have to do is install the software (don't run the application), run the patch(crack) and also replace the registry file in the folder where SpywareNuker is installed.
Then run Spyware Nuker, update and stay cool :P
Spyware Nuker don't procect you from nothing, this software just clean you from some trojans, spyware, adware, malware, cookies etc... It's recommended to do a scan every day.

Firewall:
Firewall protects you from hackers, network attacks and more... You should use Windows Firewall (if you have Windows XP Service Pack 2), it works very good.
The best firewall is Zone Alarm but i don't recommend it beacouse it slows your pc a little and its complicated to use it.

Web-browsers:
Brower is software that searches web-pages.There are few browers like: Internet Explorer, Netscape, Opera, Firefox, etc.
I strongly recommend you Mozilla Firefox (the best web-browser for me), and you can try Firefox for free from, http://www.getfirefox.com
Fixing Registry Problems
Ok, this is not so important but it's important to save your registry good atwell.Some of softwares that are good to keep your registry are: Repair Registry Pro or Registry Mehanic, System Mechanic has good registry fixing and there is RegCleaner that cleans registry, startup, and more!
