Hi eurobattle.net, I have a suggestion to make "newcomers" to have a simplefied and better forum navigation. I've been here for awhile and I know to "surf" the forum well, but the newcomers have too much trouble finding threads and things, they say it's a confusion. I heard that opinion from friends of mine and some other users in server.
Anyway, I come here to suggest you guys to make a tutorial/FAQs/something similar for those that "arrived" little ago. I have an example of my friend that came forum once or twice but it was too hard to find the threads he wanted, so he never came again to forum. Maybe making them a tutorial on a sticky thread or something may be a BIG help ! :)
That's my opinion, if you haven't the same opinion, it's ok.

~Regards! :tiphat:

Your suggestion gave me an idea.

Add a banner in the index of the forum saying: Are you new ? Click here !

Because people look at the forums and say, wow, so many stuff, where should I start ? And especially for people that are not so good in talking English. And by clicking that link it will redirect them to some thread telling them what they should know as a newcomer.

e.g.: how to connect, where/how to register, rules etc.

Exactly. If anything, in this thread we could post the help in the languages that are more common to the server. I also think, that in this thread led by the banner, we could have a direct link to Technical Support.

Well, I have this in mind:

In toolbar or/and the bar that says "Open dota league", "w3-Safelist" , etc... put there a place that says something like "Are you new? Check this!" or "Tutorial for Newcomers" you get it? :)

And there you may tell, for example, some FAQs and tutorials to surf forum. Explain the Forums, Sub-Forums and where to do this, where to do that, where to report, how to report, how to create account, etc.
Also, you could make a Thread which in there people that have any kind of question, to feel free to post at that Thread.

That's all I think, thank you ;)

I want an option on the forum for the files I upload(for example at hacks) if I want them to be public files or just admin could see them! And I`ll justify why I want this option. Because I play some strategies that others don't know, or I don't want them to see how I play vs a race. Thank You! I think is really needed for Privacy.

I don't think you invented a strategy that nobody knows, but what do i know?

We most defenetly won't prepare a special file upload system, just because you don't want to reveal your strategies. :)

If you're really that pro, send the replays to mods in private messege...

the forum is brief and simple i would say, just scroll down the page and everyone will find what he need, i think there is no need to make sth "if u want check dota section click here" because for dota section all is needed to scroll the wheel 1x.

You could implement a Replay analyzer, like on mymgn :) (for DotA)
I think they are for W3 too.

We will make the welcome messge.

@joker: Unfortunately this is vBulletin forum in basics, so we can't add things like that easily.. I mean, it's possible, for example we could do auto-parser when you upload replay, but this requiers a lot of coding skills which we seriously lack at the moment.
